Program Description: Located in downtown Baltimore City, New Foundations is a Maryland State Department of Education approved nonpublic special education program, providing psycho-educational services to males in grades 4 through 12. A multidisciplinary team of special educators, mentors, mental health professionals and other related services professionals provide a nurturing, structured environment for students with severe emotional and behavioral problems. The program is designed to provide students with an education that is meaningful and exciting. New Foundations incorporates a variety of cultural and educational resources available in the downtown Inner Harbor and business district in order to create an experiential academic program for each student. Parents are a vital part of their child’s learning experience, and opportunities for regular parental participation are integrated into the school schedule.
