Program Description: The preschool provides full day special education services to students having autism or pervasive developmental disorders. In addition students are also accepted with developmental delays, severe behavioral and emotional problems, multiple disabilities, other health impairments, and other related disorders. The primary focus is on early intervention using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) approach in conjunction with a variety of other known techniques, such as, differentiated instruction, visually cued instruction, sensory integration, errorless learning, Pivotal Response Training (PRT) and play based interventions. Individual programs are created that educate and assist students in learning academics, social skills, communication, and basic life skills. A primary focus is to reduce undesired behaviors and increase functional skills that will ensure the students long term success.
